You’ll discuss your weight loss goals with our doctor and have a physical examination to determine if you’re a suitable candidate for the Allurion gastric balloon procedure. We’ll need to evaluate your medical history, current health condition, and possibly perform additional tests if necessary.

Treatment Plan
A deflated balloon is placed into the stomach through the mouth by swallowing a capsule. Once inside the stomach, it is filled with a sterile saline solution to expand it and take up space. The whole process takes about 20 minutes and is performed as an outpatient procedure, meaning you can go home the same day. The balloon will stay in place for approximately 16 weeks. An additional balloon can be fitted for a further approximately 16 weeks after that.
